Pinnacle Capital’s Participation in Tamara’s Series-C Round
Pinnacle Capital participated in Tamara’s Series C funding round, which raised SAR 1.3 billion ($340 million) and valued the company at SAR 3.75 billion ($1 billion), making Tamara the first Saudi fintech startup to achieve a $1 billion valuation.
The round was co-led by SNB Capital and Sanabil Investments, with participation from several investors, including Pinnacle Capital, alongside Tamara’s existing investors.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Saudi Arabia, Tamara provides solutions across shopping, payments, and financial services, including its Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) offering. The platform serves more than 10 million users and partners with over 30,000 merchants.
The Series C round marks an important milestone in Tamara’s growth journey. The company plans to use the proceeds to develop and launch new products and services and expand beyond BNPL into broader opportunities across shopping, payments, and banking services in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
Pinnacle Capital’s participation reflects its confidence in the growth potential of the fintech sector and its support for Saudi companies with scalable business models and strong growth prospects. The investment aligns with the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving financial services landscape and the continued development of its innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
