Muhammad Humayun Latif

Independent board member

Humayun has over 20 years of international experience in investments, finance, auditing and operations across a varied cross section of industries including investment banking, telecommunication, healthcare, aerospace, engineering services and specialty chemicals. Humayun has an extensive track record of creating value through process improvements, balance sheet restructuring and creating financial and governance discipline within organizations. He is also an experienced Board Member having served on the Boards of a number of private companies. Prior to Watar Partners he co-founded Desert Capital, an independent boutique providing corporate advisory and investment solutions to clients in Middle East. During his career he also worked with Kuwait Finance House in Private Equity where he was responsible for transaction execution (acquisition and exit) and the ongoing management of portfolio companies, Kinnevik Group, Sweden (owners of Tele2 and Millicom telecom groups) as Group Internal Auditor, Orascom Telecom as Senior Manager Finance and NeuString (an Intel company) as Chief Financial Officer. Humayun qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in 2001. Subsequently he also received his CFA charter from CFA Institute US and holds an MBA from London Business School.

Abdulwahab is the co-founder and managing partner of Pinnacle Capital. He has more than 20 years of work experience. Abdulwahab holds An MBA degree from London Business School in UK, and an undergraduate degree in finance from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in KSA. He started his career at Saudi American bank’s (Citibank) Treasury division and worked there for over 10 years.

His background includes serving on numerous non-profit organization committees such as the National Young businessmen committee, part of the National chamber of commerce in Saudi Arabia. Abdulwahab was at The Family Office Co BSc a leading multi-family office based in the Kingdom of Bahrain where he was co-founding partner alongside the founder of the firm. During his role there, he was involved in all aspects of the business from investments to managing client relationships and lastly was a member of the firm’s executive committee. He also founded Watar Partners, a leading independent financial services firm, was established in 2014 to provide financial advisory services to private investment offices of select families.
